This recipe is from Little Food Junction
My blog is all about mom's home cooking and sharing recipes with other bloggers. Since my mom's been gone I cook a lot of her food. She used to cook without measuring the ingredients and that's how she taught me, so it's a bit hard for me to write her recipes, so I've been trying to measure as a cook. So far I have succeeded by measuring the ingredients just right so it can taste the same as hers... Thanks and happy browsing.

Blueberry bagels bread pudding with cream cheese sauce

Published with Blogger-droid v1.6.7
I had some blueberries bagels that were going to go stale soon, so I decided instead of throwing them away I will look for a recipe. I found this recipe but I revised it with my own measurements, less sugar,
more vanilla extract , more cream cheese. less cinnamon and added milk. Anyway here is my revised recipe.
5 blueberry bagels torn into bite size pieces
3 eggs beaten
1 cup sugar
1 stick of butter
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 cups of milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon to sprinkle on top
for the sauce
4 oz of cream cheese
1/2 stick of butter
1/2 cup of sugar
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon flour
Preheat oven at 375 degrees.
Place bagels in a large enough baking pan pour milk over it and set aside while you prepare the rest of the ingredients. In a medium bowl beat the eggs, add the sugar, vanilla and melted butter and mix well.
Sprinkle the cinnamon on top of the bagel pieces and then pour the egg mixture over them.
Place in the oven and bake for about 40 to 45 minutes.
For the sauce:
In a small saucepan, add the milk then add the flour and wisk well. Then over medium heat the milk, add the butter, cream cheese, sugar and vanilla heat until sauce gets thick stirring all the time then pour over the bagel bread pudding when done.
